Some details about the accident have been released
While we don’t know everything that happened, the police have issued some information. First, we know that there was one vehicle that stalled in the carpool lane. This resulted in another car hitting that stalled car. As is often the case in these situations, this then led to a chain reaction as cars went crashing into each other.
One vehicle involved in the accident was a police vehicle that had several inmates on board. That vehicle hit another vehicle, and that second vehicle caught fire. The fire caught a person that was trapped in that vehicle, and that person died. Then a fourth and final car got involved in the accident. We also know that the accident took place at around 3 in the morning.
